Glen Oaks Leaf Pick Up

2025 Leaf Pick Up Schedule

The Town of Cumberland provides curbside leaf pick-up throughout the Town. This service makes it more convenient for residents to dispose of leaves in an environmentally friendly manner. All collected leaves are mulched and will be available for use by residents as compost next summer.

Things to know:

Leaves Only - Please ensure no limbs, brush, rocks, or other debris are mixed in with your leaves so the Town's leaf vac is not damaged. If such material is present, the Town will not pick up your leaves.

Rake to the edge of the road - Leaves should be raked into a long, narrow pile at the edge of the road (not in the side ditch or in the road) so that our leaf vac can reach them. Leaves that cannot be reached will not be picked up.

No leaves in the street - Under the Federal Clean Water Act you are prohibited from raking leaves into the street where they impact the Storm Sewer System. If leaves are raked into the street you may be subject to penalties, including a fine. The Town is responsible for enforcement of this provision. This is why leaves in front of your property cannot be picked up until they are removed from the street.

Disruptions in schedule - In the event of inclement weather, equipment breakdown, or other situations beyond our control, leaf pick-up will remain on schedule. As time allows, we will attempt to go back and service those areas that were missed on regularly scheduled days.
